Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 stale roll
1 egg
2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley
.. salt and pepper
2-3 tablespoons bread crumbs
.. olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
Place both meats in large mixing bowl. Peel and chop the onion and garlic and saute in butter. Let cool and add to meat. Soak roll in water until soft and squeeze out excess liquid. Add to meat, along with beaten egg, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of water. Mix well. Form into hamburger patties and roll in bread crumbs. Brown in oil. When almost done, reduce heat to low and cook an additional few minutes. Add butter (optional). Serve with mashed potatoes and sour pickle. Can also be served cold on bread.
